In these challenging times, many find it difficult to view the world in a positive light. However, as leaders, we need to develop strategies that create maximum advantage of the disruptions, trends and opportunities that face us. Importantly, leaders need to create an Attitude of Gratitude within themselves and their People.
Someone with an attitude of gratitude makes a habit of focusing on expressing thankfulness and appreciation for the successes and opportunities in their business and life.
Many call this positive reinforcement, but few practice it. Choose to focus on being grateful and thankful for the positive things in life (and business), rather than the negative things. Focus on success, rather than failure! Benefits of having an attitude of gratitude include an increased self-efficacy and self-esteem, for ourselves and the people who follow us.
As leaders, we can influence the behaviours of the people within our organizations. Train yourself, then you can train your people!
